Spoiled by the Grandparents

Today my sister and I got our grandmother to take us to Michaels and the library. At Michaels, my sister asked my grandmother for a present. As it is a grandparent’s job to spoil their children she said yes. My grandfather even pays me ten dollars for every ‘A’ I get. And I’ve gotten straight ‘A’s since 4th grade. That’s a lot of money.

Anyway, my sister has this “Beanie BOO” owlie named ‘Snowy’, which was once white but now grayish. We purchased her at Claire’s with a bunch of my earrings last year. At Michaels, she got a giraffe named ‘Safari’, or ‘Saf’ for short. I got a cute cat I named ‘Rami’, because I didn’t think ‘Muffin’ (the name that she came with) quite fit.

Unfortunately, my 14k gold necklace broke. I was running through the kitchen and it just fell off. In its place grandma gave me two gold bangle bracelets. Thai relatives seriously just love to give gold.

Later, we packed up our mess, stuffed it in bags, and headed to West Palm Beach. My grandparents have a mobile home there and they do a 4-5 hour drive back and forth every Fri/Saturday. They come back on Tues/Wednesday. The drive was long, boring, and mainly uneventful. We’ll go back on July 1.

The lightning and thunderstorm on the way was spectacular though.
